It also provides the customer a comprehensive set of reports and graphs on their calls and campaigns to help in analyzing the data. This is an emerging technology which has been around since the 90s. It has been evolving slowly with the advancing technologies in the sector.
Call tracking works by passing a call from the phone company through a proprietary phone system which monitors, records, databases, and tracks the incoming call. These systems are typically hosted in a large data center which has backup generators and firewall protections against disaster or attack. These servers can each handle dozens if not hundreds of simultaneous calls going through them.
